William S. Mastick, Principal
A founding principal of the firm, Bill Mastick brings over 30 years of professional experience to Quadriga, including a full-range of landscape architectural and planning services for universities, public agencies, school districts and private developments. In that time he has developed the ability to carefully listen, consider and respond to the views of peers and the public. He offers a reserved, thoughtful design approach to each project. This approach has served him well in creating elegant, functional and environmentally sustainable landscapes for decades. Bill has been the principal landscape architectural designer for numerous LEED certified projects and has been involved with the County of Sonoma on their new low impact development storm water guidelines.
Bill has served as a volunteer on a variety of boards, commissions, and advisory committees for the City of Santa Rosa, including the design review board from 2003–2008, during which he helped author and facilitate public comment on the city’s revised downtown mid-rise policy. He also served on the Santa Rosa Waterways committee from 1997–2008, reviewing proposed improvement plans for consistency with the city’s waterways plan.
Bill has been the recipient of numerous professional awards including recognition for his work on the Napa Valley College Learning Resource Center (AIA, 2011), Folsom Light Rail Plaza (ASLA, 2011) and the Clovis Memorial District Lecture Hall (AIA, 2008).
Bill holds a Bachelor of Science in landscape architecture from California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo.
